Dear Parent,

The great French playwright Molière has rightly said, “The greater the obstacle, the more glory in overcoming it!” As the Academic Year 2020-21 is inching closer to its end, there is a sense of fulfillment that we, at GIIS, did not find any excuse and surmounted the challenge of providing both scholastic and co-scholastic education to our children in a virtual mode successfully.  

As things are slowly moving back to normal, we happily welcomed our students of Grades 6 to 8 also back in school in February as notified by the government.

One of the highlights of February was the 7th Annual Day of GIIS Ahmedabad- a mega-event spanning three days and 10 shows on the virtual platform. The amazing response to our Annual Day has left us all truly overwhelmed and delighted! 

Among our achievements, we also count the Awards for ‘Best Narration’ and ‘Best Storyline’ for the short films made by our students for the INTACH Filmit Festival and the lifting of the Winner’s Trophy by GIIS Ahmedabad in the Inter GIIS Quiz for K2 students organized by GIIS Whitefield.

Another exciting event of the month was the Model Rocketry Workshop by Vikram A. Sarabhai Community Science Centre (VASCSC) for our 50 students from Grades 7 to 11 and our teachers.  The students not only got an insight into the world of Rocketry but also experienced the thrill of launching their own model rockets from the school Campus!

Besides this, Green Medicine Day was observed by the school with the objective of making the students aware of the healing power of our natural green medicines and encouraging them to adopt healthy practices. We received an overwhelming response during the Leadership Lecture Series (LLS) which was held on 22nd Feb by the expert naturopaths from the city on the Virtual Platform for the parents, teachers, and students.

The calendar month of March signifies the arrival of Annual Exams! We would like to wish all the very best to our students for their exams so that they perform to the best of their abilities and potential.
