Dear Parent,

The month of August was a month of festivity, celebration of success and talents galore at GIIS Ahmedabad!

In a special programme held on 21st August 2021 in the school campus, we felicitated the school toppers of the CBSE Exam 2020-21(Grades 10 and 12)  and also conducted the Graduation Day for our very first batch of Grade 12 students (2020-21). It was a matter of great pride for all of us to celebrate the success of our school toppers and acknowledge the dedication, determination, and diligence exhibited by them despite all challenges. Also, the cheerful smiles of our graduating students who were about to embark on their new journey towards their dreams and goals filled our hearts with immense joy and a sense of fulfillment.

An exclusive event-Talent Fest 2021 was organized at GIIS Ahmedabad with the aim of recognizing the young, ignited talents of the school, nurturing and honing their artistic aptitudes and skills, and encouraging them to explore their true potential. The budding talents were provided an exciting platform to participate in a plethora of competitions and win prizes!

Virtual class-wise celebrations held on the eve of the Independence Day Celebration kicked off the 75th Indian Independence Day celebrations at GIIS Ahmedabad. A colourful cultural programme replete with patriotic fervour was telecast from the school on 15th August 2021 and a  befitting tribute was paid to the freedom fighters and those who have contributed in the progress of the nation!

We also celebrated Rakshabandhan on the virtual platform to reveal the beauty of the rich cultural traditions of India to the students and make them understand about the pious bond between a brother and a sister.

The theme for this year’s Janmashtami celebration was 'Values and Teachings of Lord Krishna'.  The objective of this vibrant celebration was to inculcate values and spread happiness!

GIIS Ahmedabad also observed 'World Peace Day' in memory of the human lives that were lost in the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, to instill in the young students- the future global citizens, a strong sense of hope for World Peace. We strongly believe that the children, with their tender minds and innocence, are the best ambassadors and messengers of peace, as they are free of any prejudice.

GIIS Ahmedabad nurtures creativity, passion, resilience, and leadership qualities among the students for the development of versatile personalities. We not only sharpen the intellectual faculty of the students but also inculcate ethical and aesthetic values in them. All the academic programmes and activities at GIIS Ahmedabad work towards one purpose- to help the students develop a life of significance for themselves and for others.
