Global Indian International School reached the mark of 114 awards, by winning two more awards at the MQH Best Practices Competition organised by IMC Ramkrishna Bajaj National Quality Award Trust, in March 2019. The awards were won by GIIS SMART Campus and GIIS East Coast campus.

GIIS East Coast campus won the award – ‘Make a Difference- Spread Kindness’ while GIIS SMART Campus was the winner of ‘#TechGen 4 NextGen - Leveraging Technology for Student Learning’.

Ms Melissa Maria, the Principal of GIIS SMART Campus, accompanied by teacher Ms Radha Ganesh, accepted the school for the award function held in Mumbai. The school was selected for TechGen 4 NextGen - Leveraging Technology for Student Learning Award for the state-of-the-art facilities like 42 skill-based labs, facial recognition devices, transport app, and other latest technologies that the campus used for saving manpower and maximising the learning experience.

Ms Madhu Khanna and two students Avaneesh Bansal and Dev Jai Pakshootra of Grade 6, accepted the award on behalf of GIIS East Coast campus. Ms Madhu Khanna and the students talked about the Kindness Mix of the school and how it benefits the students. A kindness quilt created by students was displayed to the audience. The presentation showed the mix of activities that were planned around kindness and conducted in school. The team shared the tangible results achieved and explained the pertinence of the kindness movement in society. Also, they talked about the awards and accolades won over the years by the campus. At the end of the presentation, a Q and A session was held in which the principal and students both participated. The campus was selected for ‘Make a Difference- Spread Kindness’ Award.

GIIS has won many other accolades for best practices in the field of education. On one hand, the school excels in leveraging the technology in the field of education and on the other hand gets recognition for universal values like kindness and community service.
