GIIS SMART Campus hosted its annual dance competition Jhankaar on August 25, offering a vibrant platform for students to showcase their dancing prowess and artistic excellence. This celebration of talent encompassed four competitive categories; Sub Junior, Junior, Sub Senior, and Senior.
Participants competed across a diverse array of dance forms; including folk, freestyle, and traditional classical styles, underscoring the rich cultural tapestry within GIIS. The event was hosted by GIIS SMART Campus Primary Division, and it drew students from six different international schools alongside local schools, fostering an atmosphere of inclusivity.
The grand finale of the Jhankaar competition witnessed the participation of over 350 students representing various schools, showcasing their talents through both solo and group performances. The event was divided into two shows: the first featured competitions in the Sub-Junior and Junior categories, while the second showcased the Sub-Senior and Senior categories.
A distinguished panel of judges assessed the performances and declared the winners at the end of the shows. In addition to the trophies won by the winners, every participant received e-certificates. These prizes and certificates serve as recognition and encouragement for the exceptionally talented competitors, igniting their passion for dance and the performing arts.
Events like this at GIIS stands as a remarkable platform dedicated to fostering and showcasing talent in the realm of performing arts. It not only provides students with opportunities to express themselves through dance but also extends appreciation and recognition to their exceptional abilities, motivating them to persistently pursue their passion for the performing arts.
