On April 29, students from the GIIS SMART Campus displayed their sporting skills participating in various track and field events as part of the Athletic Conference of Singapore International Schools (ACSIS). The event was hosted by the Singapore American School which witnessed students from 9 international schools putting up a fantastic display of skill and sportsmanship competing against each other.

The athletes competed in a variety of competitions including; sprints of 100, 200, and 400, 500,  800 metres, long jump, high jump, shot put, and discus throw. Their dedication and enthusiasm throughout the competition were remarkable, and the crowd was equally engaged as they cheered on.

The selected athletes, in the U-14 and U-12 categories, underwent intensive training sessions under the guidance of experienced coaches, starting as early as October last year. These training sessions helped them perform their best at the meet and showcase their competence. 

Overall, the event provided an excellent platform for athletes to demonstrate their sporting excellence and extend their learning beyond the classrooms. This aligns with GIIS's 9 GEMS pedagogy, which encourages students to explore their talents and potential beyond the classroom's boundaries, promoting holistic growth.
