GIIS SMART Campus primary students shine at Game Changer Fest

Embarking on a journey of physical prowess and sportsmanship, GIIS SMART Campus Primary students showcased excellence in sports during the Game Changer Fest. Spanning from January 22 to February 20, 2024, the fest brought together students from CBSE Grades 1-5 in a series of exhilarating challenges and spirited competitions, meticulously curated by the school’s PE teachers and ECA coaches.

For the young learners in Grades 1 and 2, the fest commenced with a vibrant array of non-competitive events aimed at instilling joy and camaraderie. Students engaged in the thrill of the 50-metre race, navigated through obstacle courses with the Obstacle Race, and showcased their agility in the Hula Hoop Hopping Game, fostering a sense of participation and delight.

As the fest progressed, the competitive fervour ignited among students in Grades 3, 4, and 5. Grade 3 students demonstrated their speed in the 60-metre race, tested their endurance in the Sit-ups Challenge, and showcased their strength in the Medicine Ball Throw and Standing Broad Jump. Grades 4 and 5 showcased their athleticism in the 80-metre race, endurance in the Plank Challenge, and agility in the Medicine Ball Throw and Standing Broad Jump, reflecting their dedication to excellence.

Grade 4 and 5 students further embraced the spirit of teamwork and strategy by engaging ECA team games including Basketball, Soccer, Cricket, Chess, Badminton, and Tennis. These collaborative endeavours not only honed their athletic skills but also nurtured qualities of cooperation and leadership, embodying the true essence of sportsmanship.

The culmination of the fest was marked by the Award Ceremony held on Feb 27, 2024. Amidst cheers and applause, students were recognised for their exemplary performances, determination, and resilience throughout the fest. Each participant emerged as a victor in their own right, embodying the core values of dedication, perseverance, and sportsmanship.
