Dear Parents,

Greetings!

With the advent of the new year, comes new hopes, new dreams, new resolutions and a strong urge to achieve them. With the beginning of 2024, we have welcomed new classes in Primary 1 and new students who have joined the GIIS Family. The students are familiarising themselves with the school and teachers are helping the students settle down in their routines.  

After a restful December break, PYP grade 5s are now finalising their PYP exhibition topics and presentations. Each year the students surpass all the expectations as they present an in-depth understanding of various topics affecting humanity right from neurology and sustainability to social challenges. 

CBSE students from grades 1 to 5 participated in sports trials and had fun challenging themselves in various sport rounds. A field trip for PYP and CBSE students who study Tamil as a second language to Little India where special Pongal celebrations were held made the students understand the importance of traditional arts and how they should be performed. Students learned about their cultural identities through these arts. 

Events such as these enrich the educational experience of our students and give it a holistic touch thereby ensuring that the students are connected to their roots. 

We hope that the year 2024 brings many such positive experiences to flourish and grow!
