GIIS has always placed high emphasis on providing students an all-rounded development, reinforced through the 9 GEMS pedagogy. Every student is given an opportunity to explore in areas other than academics, be it sports, arts, or entrepreneurial events, and develop their skills in the respective fields. 

A fine example of this all-rounded education fostered at GIIS, is Abhinav Sridhar, with his exemplary achievements in the field of visual and performing arts. 

Abhinav has always been active in school events, having tried his hand at almost everything. Despite being a dedicated Biology student, he has found various interests and passions in the field of arts. Abhinav has actively participated in Annual Day events and created video presentations for school assemblies, which sparked his interest in the area of filmmaking and production. This pushed him to try his hand at short film production for class assignments and otherwise. 

Having a natural flare for content creation, Abhinav also turned to audio platforms, establishing his presence there as well. He was the first ever Radio Jockey to feature on the GIIS SMARTCast podcast series, giving him the much needed push to create his own podcast series “Welcome to the New World”, which features various guests from across the globe. Apart from this, Abhinav also aspires to become a musician.

In the latest episode of the SMARTCast series, Abhinav recounts how GIIS discovered and continually nurtured his talents, while also receiving unwavering support from his educators, which has shaped him into the all-rounder that he is today.
