To salute the spirit of dance and pay respects to all the dance forms, Global Indian International School (GIIS), Noida celebrated World Dance day in the school premises by conducting a special assembly in the multipurpose hall.

The special assembly kick started with the Morning Prayer followed by meditational exercises. A thought provoking power point presentation was shared to bring forth the importance of dance, and variety of dance forms present in our country. GIIS owns and follows a 9 GEMs model and Fine & Performing Arts is an essential component of the same. The correlation between both the entities was also established through the ppt highlighting the contribution of the gem in holistic growth & development of each child at GIIS. The stage was lit with colours and exuberance as girls from Grade 5 performed a heart-warming dance on a very famous Uttarakhandi song named “Bedu Pako” depicting the spirit of the World Dance Day.

Utilizing the platform to educate students about road safety and security, a small presentation on following traffic rules and its importance was also shared with the audience by Ms. Shikha D. Sharma - PRT, Science followed by a pledge to follow the traffic rules on road by Ms. Satyawati - PGT, Sanskrit.

GIIS is an institute that believes in power of performing arts and creativity, and supports all kinds of artistic passions and desires of its students. Students are free to choose a field that they are inclined to and work towards achievement of same through performance based approach.
