Students go on a cleanliness drive in the school as part of ‘Swachhta Hi Sewa’ Abhiyan

Global Indian International School (GIIS), Noida believes that 'Charity begins at home'. Going by our motto and practices, students along with the Principal, Mr. Ganesh Sharma whole heartedly, participated in the 'Cleanliness Drive' organised in the Campus in September 2018. In keeping with the spirit and objective of the exercise, students of Grade VI to XI and the staff members cleaned the entire campus, building, corridors, and classrooms by ensuring effective garbage collection and waste management.

The Government of India launched an initiative in the important sphere of Swachhta named "Swachhta Hi Seva", where Educational Institutions have a key role to perform. The objective is to further the existing measures being undertaken in ensuring hygiene so that mission mode pursuit leads to a mind-set of zero tolerance towards anything unhygienic.

Various activities / competitions were also organised by the school for the students of grades I to X, throughout the month like painting, letter writing,  poster making and collage making on the topics - Save Environment, 'Pollution', Importance of Sanitation and Swachh Paryavaran. Tree plantation drive was also undertaken in the campus during the Swachhta Pakhwada and trees were planted in the school campus. A pledge was taken by all students and teachers to observe hygiene and cleanliness in all aspects of daily life and to make others to follow suit.
