India is a diverse country. A place where billions of people live together and enjoy freedom in their own little ways. After being under the British rule for over 200 years, India got independence on 15th August, 1947. Celebrating its 69th year of the same, students of the Noida campus celebrated the Independence Day with complete patriotism and dignity.
Students from Montessori and Primary classes ardently took part in the celebrations, making the event exuberant. Starting with gala celebrations, the students commenced a special assembly by singing ‘Sare Jahan Se Acha’ which filled the air with patriotism and immense respect towards the country. As the event progressed, sacrifices made by our freedom fighters were remembered and honoured by the students. Various quotes from famous personalities were shared to make the students understand true importance of living in a free country.
Pre-primary students celebrated the occasion by dressing up like their favourite personality, speaking few lines about them and their contribution towards free India. They even presented a dance sequence on ‘Vande Mataram’ which left the audience spellbound.
An ‘Inter-house Hindi Poem Recitation Competition’ was organized for the students of Grade 1-2, allowing them to express their patriotism through verses and actions.
