Minakshi Ranjan - PRT teacher at GIIS Noida gets honoured with the Teacher par excellence award

Teaching for Ms. Minakshi is a continuous process of learning. It is sharing of knowledge and experience one gains through years of practice in the profession. Teaching being one of the most demanding professions of all times expects a lot of hard work where the teachers have to continually update themselves with the latest skills and technologies.  

Meenakshi is a go-getter when it comes to accomplishing the unthinkable. Her vast experience and at par knowledge of the subjects (IT and Maths) is commendable. Her students have gained confidence and improved their academic performance with her unmissable support and motivation. 

As a technology enthusiast, she has always been on the forefront of updating her skill set as per the latest technological trends. During her journey as a facilitator, she has gained numerous certifications to her credit. A few of her accomplishments include: 

1. Certified Microsoft Innovative Educator - She has earned the designation of an educator who is passionate and committed to empowering learning through technology in classrooms. Becoming a Microsoft Certified Educator validates that one has the technology literacy competencies needed to provide rich, innovative learning experiences for students.

2. Honoured by IIHM Delhi as Teacher par Excellence for going the extra mile during COVID 19. Her efforts in helping the school to create a strong base for the virtual classrooms were applauded and appreciated by the IIHM authorities. She was also responsible for giving online training on Google Classrooms PAN India. 

For her exceptional contribution in developing and maintaining educational standards during the pandemic time, she has also been awarded with Teachers Glory Award by the Universal Business School, Mumbai. 

3. Appropriate use of Online Teaching Tools and Resources - Virtual and Augmented Reality has completely changed the world of student learning. Ms. Minakshi utilizes her knowledge and skills to the fullest by using various tools like AR and VR apps, game-based quizzes, Google Apps to boost students participation and collaborative activities.

Apart from the above-mentioned recognitions, she was also appreciated by the Science Olympiad Foundation, for her initiative, commitment, and contribution as an NCO (National Cyber Olympiad) & IMO (International Mathematics Olympiad) class In-charge, for the years 2016, 2018 & 2019. Ms. Ranjan was also recognized by the British Council for supporting the integration of international learning in the curriculum.

For her role at GIIS, she was recognized as the Best Primary Teacher for the academic year 2018-19. That’s not it. Apart from receiving the first position in the Inter-GIIS Google classroom competition, she devised and developed from scratch, a classroom observation module to map students' progress in physical and virtual classrooms. 

Talking about her vision and goal, Minakshi wants to encourage the youth to meet the challenges of their generation with ICT (information and communication technologies), confidence, and cross-cultural skills. She wants to carve with her teachings, strong individuals who are good human beings and are well connected to their roots.
