Investiture Ceremony 2026–27: A New Chapter of Student Leadership at GIIS Noida

There are some school moments that students remember for a long time. The Investiture Ceremony is one of them—a day when being a student takes on a little more meaning, and a few young faces step forward to take on a big responsibility.

GIIS Noida’s Multi-Purpose Hall was filled with excitement and pride as the school welcomed its newly elected Student Council for the Academic Session 2026–27.

The ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp, setting a meaningful tone for the day. Students of Grades IX–XII added to the celebration with a graceful dance performance, followed by a melodious instrumental performance by the school orchestra and the proud entry of the school band.

The highlight of the day, however, was watching the newly elected Student Council members take the stage. Walking forward with confidence, they took their oath of office, promising to uphold the values of honesty, integrity, discipline, responsibility and service.

For these students, it was more than just receiving a position. It was about earning the trust placed in them and understanding that leadership comes with the responsibility to listen, support and lead by example.

The school was honoured to welcome Chief Guest Brigadier Tarun Madan, who inspired the young leaders through his words and encouraged them to approach their new roles with confidence, integrity and purpose.

A particularly meaningful moment was the symbolic distribution of candles, representing the light of knowledge, hope and leadership. The Student Council’s rendition of the Courage Song added to the spirit of the occasion, while the Head Girl, Head Boy and President shared their thoughts and reaffirmed their commitment to the school community.

In his address, the Principal reminded the students that good leaders are not defined by titles, but by responsibility, humility, commitment and the example they set for others.

As the ceremony came to a close with the National Anthem, there was a sense that something new had begun—not just for the Student Council, but for the entire school community.

The Investiture Ceremony was a celebration of trust, responsibility and the courage to step up. We look forward to seeing our young leaders learn, grow and make a difference throughout the year.

The badges may mark their roles, but it is their actions that will define their leadership.
