Hindi is the most refined approach to imparting knowledge about India's rich heritage and diverse culture to the youth of our country. It is not just a language but is the simplest source for signifying our nation’s dignity and unity.
Because parents have started prioritising the importance of learning English more than Hindi, the youth has started to disregard the edges of this language. By doing so, children tend to put stress on their communication skills overlooking the significance of the Hindi language.
To acquaint students with a stronger devotion towards the language, Hindi Week is celebrated with great interest every year at GIIS, Noida. Various activities are conducted throughout the week to enlighten the students with the eminence of our diverse cultural heritage. These activities have not only facilitated an understanding of the importance of the language but have also encouraged the students to explore, enhance and develop their creative potential to a greater extent.
To showcase the efforts that were made by our students, a memorable assembly was initiated by the students of Grade 10, GIIS Noida. The prime goal of the event was to instil the prominence of Hindi among students by sharing its distinctive aspects.
The event kicked off with a melodic prayer sung by the talented school choir to invoke the blessings of the almighty, followed by a self-written, mesmerising poem recitation presented by the students. Such poems have assisted as a path for our students to develop their reading and writing skills.
As the event unfolded, a Doha recitation competition and an interactive quiz were hosted wherein the enthusiastic students were briefly familiarised with the various aspects of the language. The mentioned activities not only helped to enhance the vocabulary of the students but also served as a means to provide them with new exposure towards the language.
Succeeding to this was a video which showcased the activities conducted during the Hindi Week wherein active participation was displayed by the diligent students.
As the event came to its end, the vice principal, Ms Mrignaynai Magotra, emphasised the importance of Hindi as she congratulated everyone who had contributed their bit in organising the event beautifully.
Overall, the event was an opportunity for the children to explore diverse viewpoints and expand their understanding of this critical topic. Remarkably, we further witnessed the strong and active devotion of students. Speaking Hindi is nothing to be ashamed of. Let us take immense pride in our nation’s rich heritage and diverse culture and promote the significance of Hindi.
