“Hard Times don’t create Heroes; it is during the hard time when the ‘Hero’ Within us is revealed - BOB RILEY

Dear Parents

Namaste!

The new era of education has begun. Who had thought that what we introduced a couple of years back would help us sail through this tough time of a pandemic. We have been able to achieve so much in terms of e-educating our students through the online platform, that we have started to think ways of enhancing the current mode of teaching for our students to evolve and take on the world.

The past few months for the school has been extremely busy in terms of activities happening virtually in full swing. Both our students and teachers have benefitted from the online mode of education and availability of resources, making them ready to face any situation in life with courage and perseverance.

Our students and teachers have participated in various activities, competitions, taken assessments, carried out assemblies, celebrated festivals, and so much more that it compels me to give them a big round of applause for their efforts and ability to adapt in these trying times. Looking at the way they all have been coped up with the new changes in the mode of education, I am sure that my students and teachers are all ready to surpass the difficulties that come what may, and build a life that is not dependent on situations like the ones we are dealing with right now.

Our students have taken regular lessons, virtually celebrated the festivals of Navratri, Dussehra, Diwali, and Halloween with various activities that has kept them engaged and their enthusiasm intact. Apart from the regular virtual activities and classes, we have been engaging the students in different club activities to give them a holistic learning environment that shapes up their personalities and makes them future-ready.

To sum up the last two months, we celebrated Gandhi Jayanti, World Unity Day where all the students pledged to work towards the nation’s progression and peace, literary week across the segments to enhance the linguistic skills of our students, among many others.

On the achievements front, GIIS Noida students have left no stone unturned to give their best and win various prestigious national, inter-GIIS, and campus-wide competitions. Naina Madan of grade 4 was awarded with the Global Kids Achiever award for her outstanding performance (Indian classical dance category) in a coveted online competition. Grade 12 students from campus won the inter-GIIS economics symposium where they presented an outstanding presentation on the impact of the novel CoronaVirus on the human capital formation. Two of our students did wonders in spell bee and creative writing competitions; Rhythima from grade 9 won the Spell Bee Championship and Samarth from Grade 6 won second place in category A creative writing competition. Our school was also awarded for the maximum number of student participation. GIIS Noida also garnered a Top position in the Innovators category in the Noida region in the prestigious Times School Survey 2020. This coveted recognition has been the result of the continued trust and motivation from our students, parents, stakeholders, and everyone who has been a part of the GIIS journey.

With complete hope and belief in my teachers and with the continued support of parents, I am certain that this path towards a revolutionary education system will be successful, and my students will build skills that take them through such unprecedented times.

Stay Safe, Stay Healthy.
