Dear Parents,

I take immense pleasure in sharing that the first month of the new academic year was a month to remember for the teachers and students of GIIS Noida. I would not be wrong in calling this the most fruitful month of the year 2023 so far. The spectrum of victories we have achieved in the very beginning of the session is truly commendable. We hope that the coming months are as exciting as this one.

We re-opened in the first week of April for all segments and engaged students in activities that helped them in setting the tone for the year ahead. As the month progressed, students were engaged in numerous activities like Safety and Hygiene week, Earth Day, Eid celebrations, Donation drive and inter-house basketball and football matches. These activities provided our students a way to enhance their skills and become more aware of the world around them.    

April was also a month of new beginnings and initiatives. We hosted a seminar in our campus in collaboration with UPSCA to discuss the future of Chess and chalk out a plan that puts the game on to the list of most played games in India.

Two of our students Garvit Jain and Anany Shrivastava bagged laurels at the UP State Rating Inter-School Chess Tournament. Garvit secured first position in the under-9 and Anany secured third position in the under -19 category.

The highlight of the month was the Leadership Lecture Series with the ace music composer and singer Sheykhar Ravjaini at GIIS Noida. We had the honour of hosting Sheykhar Ravjiani in our campus where he interacted with our senior students and teachers. The event was a great success for us as our students got an opportunity to learn from his experience and the process of creating music for the Indian music industry. I feel happy to share that Sheykhar has handpicked two of our students Aryaman Chhabra from grade 6 and Oviya Buagh from garde 9 for the Global Schools Sheykhar Ravjiani School of Music where these students will get a chance to acquire professional training under his direct mentorship and guidance.

Lastly, I would like to inform the parents about our upcoming summer camp, which will take place on campus from May 20th to May 31st, 2023, and is open for all. This year, we have curated special courses and activities for our students to explore and learn something new. I am delighted to share that students will receive professional training from field experts, enhancing their skills and knowledge.

GIIS Noida hopes to continue the momentum and make the upcoming months as exciting and fruitful as the first month of the academic year. We look forward to your continued support throughout the year.
