Dear Parents,

August was a month of leadership, learning and achievement at GIIS Noida. From welcoming our newly elected Student Council and nurturing leadership through student-led initiatives to celebrating the academic milestones of our graduating students, the month reflected our commitment to providing every learner with opportunities to grow, discover their strengths and step forward with confidence.

GIIS Noida was filled with excitement and pride as the school welcomed its newly elected Student Council for the Academic Session 2026–27. The ceremony began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, setting a meaningful tone for the occasion. Students of Grades IX–XII added to the celebrations with a graceful dance performance, followed by a melodious instrumental presentation by the school orchestra and the proud entry of the school band. The highlight of the ceremony was witnessing the newly elected Student Council members take the stage and solemnly pledge their oath of office. They promised to uphold the values of honesty, integrity, discipline, responsibility and service.

For our young leaders, this occasion was about much more than receiving a position. It was about earning the trust placed in them and understanding that true leadership means listening, supporting others and leading by example. We were honoured to welcome our Chief Guest, Brigadier Tarun Madan, who inspired the young leaders with his words and encouraged them to approach their new responsibilities with confidence, integrity and purpose.

The Brain Blitz – General Knowledge Quiz Competition 2026 was conducted for students of Grades 3 to 5. The engaging offline competition aimed to enhance students’ general knowledge, current affairs awareness and understanding of their school, while fostering confidence, quick thinking, teamwork and healthy competition.

The event began with a Preliminary Round conducted in the respective classrooms, where students answered questions on General Knowledge and Current Affairs. Based on their scores, six students from each section advanced to the next round. The subsequent rounds were conducted separately for Grades 3, 4 and 5 through an interactive presentation covering General Knowledge, Current Affairs, School Awareness and other relevant topics.

A special highlight of the competition was its student-led format. Members of the GK Club from Grades 3, 4 and 5 actively contributed to conducting the quiz. From asking questions and maintaining discipline to managing scorecards and recording scores, the students gained valuable hands-on experience in leadership, teamwork and event management.

At GIIS Noida, we take immense pride in seeing our students pursue their aspirations and take confident steps towards their future. We congratulate Avvya Pratap Singh on securing admission to Durham University, UK, for the B.Sc. Accounting and Finance programme. We wish Avvya continued success as he embarks on this exciting new journey.

We also congratulate Bhavya Sidana on securing admission to the BMS Programme at IIM Sirmaur. This achievement marks the beginning of a new chapter filled with learning, experiences and opportunities. We wish Bhavya the very best as he takes this important step towards his future.

Our congratulations also go to Guni Keshari on securing admission to the Institute of Actuaries of India to pursue Actuarial Science. Her achievement reflects her academic focus, curiosity and determination to pursue a specialised career path. We are proud to see our students identify their strengths and pursue meaningful pathways towards their aspirations.

As we move ahead, let us continue to work together to create an environment where our students are encouraged to lead with purpose, learn with curiosity and pursue their dreams with confidence. Every achievement, big or small, is a reflection of the collective efforts of our students, teachers and parents.
