Budding sports enthusiasts of the school excel in G.C. Lagan Memorial Athletic Meet held in Delhi

Sports is an important part of the curriculum at Global Indian International School (GIIS), Noida, and students of the school follow it rightly to obtain virtues that help in development of their overall personality. Each student gets professionally trained in at-least one sport of their choice and gets to participate in competitions that test their skills and level of commitment towards the game.

In October 2018, a bunch of students from the school participated in the G. C. Lagan Memorial Athletic meet held at Bal Bhavan Public School, Mayur Vihar, Phase 2. Our students performed exceptionally well and showed true sign of sportsmanship and leadership.  Around 50 schools across Delhi NCR participated in the sports meet with sheer excitement and ardour.

Lavish Yadav (grade 4) won a gold medal in 100 meter hurdle race, Sagar Kumar (grade 5) won a silver medal in 100 meter race, and Naman Nagar (grade 7) won a silver medal in 200 meter race as they competed with talents from across the city.

Here’s wishing many such victories to our budding sport enthusiasts while ensuring that our students imbibe the qualities of true sportsmanship, team work, and fair play and use these virtues in their lives to achieve success the right way.
