Appreciation and recognition are powerful motivators that lead to an increase in performance, productivity, morale, retention and overall satisfaction. Appreciation and Recognition are two of the top individual’s values in their professional careers.

To acknowledge and appreciate the efforts put in by the meritorious students, and to further motivate every child to give their best, Annual Award ceremony (2021-2022) was organized for classes 6th to 12th of Global Indian International School (GIIS), Noida. The ceremony was conducted online. The gala event witnessed the presence of proud parents as well as the teachers who had logged in to witness the appreciation that was being bestowed upon their wards and students for their outstanding performance in academics, co-curricular activities, and the highest percentage in attendance. 

The ceremony began by seeking the blessings of the almighty through an enchanting prayer. Mr.Ganesh Sharma- Principal, GIIS Noida marked the beginning of the auspicious occasion with a short speech that emphasized on the overall performance of the school in both academics as well as curricular. The most awaited moment arrived when the emcees Ms. Vishakha and Ms. Sulekha announced the first category of awards that were for the scholar awards category. The awards falling under this category were administered to all those students who had scored more than 90% marks in the last academic session.

Next category was Performance Enhancement. The awards for this category were given to those enthusiastic students who had worked hard for whole of the session and were able to enhance their results by the end of the session. This was followed by a mesmerizing dance performance by a student of grade 8, Ishani Chowdhury. Then came the class topper category which was given to the students who had topped their class in the academic session 2020-21. The awards for subject toppers were administered next. It was given to those who had scored the highest marks in various.

Following this, we had another beautiful dance performance by Sanvi, a student of grade 7 followed by the award for overall toppers. These were given to those students who showcased an excellent performance throughout the session in all the subjects. Apart from academics, the students were also recognized and felicitated for their exceptional performance in co-scholastic and co-curricular activities. They were honoured with special awards that included:

• Best orator Award  
• Best Vocalist/ Instrumentalist Award
• Best Dancer Award
• 100% attendance Award
• Best Artist Award
• All Rounder Award

The event culminated with a formal vote of thanks proposed by senior academic coordinator Ms. Madhuri Kaw. The program witnessed an array of emotions as the students who had worked hard for an entire year got their due in form awards and recognition during the online Awards ceremony conducted.
