Dear Parents,

Namaste.

As we approach 2022, I would like to extend warm wishes for a happy new year to you all. I wish each one of you to be safe, healthy and happy with your family and loved ones.

December brought in a lot of excitement and happiness for the GIIS Noida community; we marched ahead to a positive end to relax and unwind after a month full of activities, examinations, and a lot of hustle bustle that kept us rooting for excellence and finesse.

It was all about warmth, happiness, and the willingness to transit onto some new with a vision to achieve the unthinkable.

The month began with celebrating our students’ success. Advik Seth and Naina Madan won laurels for the school at the Al-Tasamuh competition hosted by GIIS Abu Dhabi. They both won the first spot in STEAM and Dance categories of the competition. RWCC- hosted by the GIIS SMART CAMPUS in Punggol was another milestone for us as students across segments won several positions in various categories. Not just students, GIIS Noida was awarded the “Innovation in Pedagogical Practices” award by elets online at the 22nd World Education Summit Awards 2021.

We further progressed to virtually celebrating joyous occasions like Christmas and new year with students from all three segments. We also conducted two award ceremonies to honor and appreciate the merit students from the last academic year from the primary and secondary segments; Investiture ceremony too was organized virtually for the selected council members who took the oath to perform their duties with complete honesty and integrity and swore to work towards the welfare of the fellow students and the school.

December is a month where students look forward to celebrate their fondness for games and participate in the yearly tradition of annual sports day. This year, beating the odds, each segment conducted their separate sports days online that saw a lot of excitement in participation from the participating students.

One of the major highlights of the month was delegates from the French Embassy visiting the campus to discuss about exchange programs between GIIS and French students and teachers.

Our students also got an opportunity to understand the in-depth art of Ad making from industry officials through a workshop that was organized by the school in collaboration with AdmitKard. Also, two of our students from grade 11 along with a teacher attended a workshop on Rotational Physics given by the industry famous Mr. Jitender Singh. All of this along with many other activities made the month a power-packed ensemble of learning and achievement for all of us.

Lastly, I hope the last three months of the academic year bring more learning and progression to my students and they become well-rounded individuals who make the best of use of opportunities given to them.
