Student learn importance of recycling at Junk to Funk event

SINGAPORE, 24 MAY, 2018: Students dressed in costumes made from recycled material for the “Junk To Funk – Fancy Dress Day” event held on 15th May at Mountbatten campus, a part of GIIS initiative to inculcate the habit of recycling among students.

The Fancy Dress Day was celebrated with the primary aim of educating students about the effects that wastage holds on society and how adopting the habit of recycling can help conserve our planet and reduce wastage better.

The light of creativity was sparked as students came dressed up as butterflies, farmer,  robot, fairies, Hanuman among other personas.

This event created a large scale of awareness amongst students about the importance of using less of plastic and paper, and to recycle things instead. We hope that the students can sustain this learning for life.
