A large number of parents attended an information session in September 2018, for six scholarships announced by Global Indian International School for meritorious and deserving students with limited means. 

As many as 150 people turned up for the session held at the SMART Campus, where the parents were taken through a slideshow of the six scholarships, including two new Merit-cum-Means scholarships specially designed for commemorating the 150th birth anniversary year of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi.

The powerpoint presentation was followed by a Q and A session where Principal Ms Melissa Maria cleared all doubts in parents' minds. Some major questions included queries on the number of scholarships to be given, the application process and the paperwork to be submitted.

GIIS regards scholarship programmes as part of its social responsibility and has been offering financial assistance to deserving students for many years. Recently the school has added two new scholarships - Mahatma Gandhi Universal Values Scholarship and Global Future Skills Scholarship.

Mahatma Gandhi Universal Values Scholarship is launched by the school on the occasion of 150th Birth Anniversary of Gandhi Ji. The merit-cum-means scholarship will be offered to deserving students from moderate-income families. While Global Future Skills Scholarship will be awarded to students of merit and distinction who exhibit qualities that are highly promising as a leader and global citizen of tomorrow. 

The pre-existing list of scholarships consists of Global Citizens Scholarship, Global Champion Scholarship, Nextgen Scholarship and 9 GEMS Scholarship. The wide range of scholarships at GIIS ensures that ‘no child is left behind’ and has the breadth to cover entire GIIS family.
