The world of children is a never ending, delightful sojourn into the realms of fantasy. Such is the impact of this world on children’s lives that it is sometimes hard to distinguish it from the real world! Often we have them moving in and out of these two worlds with such ease that it becomes confusing for adults. Taking this thought forward the Pre-primary students of GIIS Noida presented a beautiful world of Fantasia for the Annual Day celebration.
It so happens that after a long year at Hogwarts, Harry Potter comes back to the King’s Cross Station, London. At the end of a magical year, Harry couldn’t imagine being in the muggle world. There was no magic here, no enchanting charms, no flying brooms, or talking animals or happy endings. How would he be happy here? Hermione instantly interjects saying, “Of course, there is magic in this world. There are brooms, magical doors, flying carpets, fairies, magic wands and even talking animals. You name it, and the muggle world has it!” But Harry and Ron look at each other confused, and slightly astonished. Then the Magic Book is opened by Hermione and the characters come alive in an engrossing story resting on each page.
Every turn left the audience mesmerised. It started with Cinderella, a damsel in distress, rescued by a fairy godmother and a charming prince. It even has the adventures of talking animals, where lions, hippos, giraffes and zebra dance with penguins and monkeys. This is a world where a genie transforms Alladin, a vagabond’s life, and the Magic mirror always speaks the truth!
This, was the world of magic unravelled again. And lucky for all parents and well wishers, the Pre Primary children were there to take them through this journey.
The Guest of Honour for the day was Mr. Gregor Polson, Head of One World International School Singapore- managed by Global Schools Foundation. He spoke about the wonderful journey that the children had taken the audience through and what a great learning experience it was for everyone involved.
Mrs. Rachna Jain, Pre-primary Coordinator, presented the Annual Report for Pre-primary section highlighting the outcomes of usage of Global Montessori Plus and Nine Gems, holistic learning framework.
Mrs. Nandita Dasgupta, Principal GIIS Noida addressed the parents on issues of importance on upbringing of children and the urgent need for bonding with children.
The parents enjoyed the show and the teachers felt duely rewarded as they received excellent feedback from the parents.
