GIIS Noida applauses loud to celebrate the achievement of Tanvi Suri of Class VII at the U-14 Zonal Basketball Championship 2015. Tanvi was selected from Gautam Buddha Nagar District (Noida, Greater Noida & Dadri) for the U-14 team Army Public School Noida. Students from different schools of Noida, Greater Noida like Cambridge, Mayoor, Delhi Public School, Amity, Step By Step, Shri Ram Millennium and others participated in the competition and after a series of elimination rounds, 10 students were finally selected to represent the Gautam Buddha Nagar District.

A total of 20 teams representing North, South, East and West zones of Uttar Pradesh from cities like Varanasi, Aligarh, Allahabad, Gorakhpur, Gautum Budha Nagar, Agra, Bulandshahr, Ghaziabad and Lucknow participated in the Zonal Level Competition held at Renaissance School, Bulandshahr from 6th -10th June 2015. After a series of cross matches, Gautam Budha Nagar Team qualified for the Semi-finals and eventually made to the finals playing with zeal and enthusiasm.
