GIIS Noida has been following the 9 Gems model right from its inception and it is heartening to see the learning outcomes. In the realm of sports, students of GIIS Noida have participated in inter-school competitions and have won laurels.
Skating in style
Students from GIIS Noida performed well and won prizes in various categories at the Inter-School Skating Utsav 2015. The tournament was held at the DDA Sports Complex Vasundhara Enclave. 200 boys and girls from ten schools participated in the under-4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14 age categories. The students practiced sincerely under the guidance of their coach, Mr. Sandeep Awana perfecting every move. They exuded self-confidence at the skating tournament.

A game for the mind
Students of GIIS Noida participated in the Noida & Greater Noida Inter School District Chess Championship 2015 which was held at Kothari International School, Noida. 150 boys and girls from six schools participated in the under-7, 9 and 11 age categories. The young chess players won prizes in different categories and it was a matter of pride that GIIS Noida won the 3rd Position in the ‘Best School Trophy’ category for an overall performance. The students have been learning chess under the guidance of coach Mr. Nikhil Joshi.
