The famous five from GIIS Noida campus worked on the topic ‘waste management’. They collected two-fold data. First was through various parameters of waste management that they jotted down the worksheets and asked their classmates to rank and the second mode was by making physical observations. Post analyses of data two outcomes that stared them in the face were- non-utilization of waste and improper disposal of waste. They attended workshop conducted by a waste management organization, Eco-green and received valuable inputs. The group brainstormed and came up with fantastic insights that are practical and doable. They conducted a week long cleanliness drive and put up posters to propagate cleanliness and 3 Rs- Reduce, Recycle and Reuse. The team promises to maintain the same enthusiasm towards keeping the environment clean and proper waste management throughout their lives and spread awareness of the same.

The students are looking forward to exhibit their oratory skills in extempore competition in both for and against the motion on topics related to mother earth and preservation of the planet. The trio have been practicing daily with their English teacher and attending sessions on speaking effectively. The teacher would introduce a topic and ask for a catchy headline and then the students would further elaborate on it. Sometimes the students would make mistakes but they learnt quickly from the same and as of today, are well equipped to participate in the competition at GIIS East Coast Campus, Singapore.

RWCC
