Inter-GIIS Heritage Quiz 2016-2017; Keeping the Heritage Alive

In the ever-growing world of Knowledge, it becomes important to nurture the habit of collecting knowledge from every source possible, like newspapers, magazines, quiz books, knowledge based T.V. channels, etc. which was the mantra of the day on 30th November, 2016.

Promoting our national cultural heritage and awareness about the factual details of the same, an Inter GIIS Heritage and Awareness Quiz was conducted across GIIS India campuses i.e. Ahmedabad, Noida, Surat, Indore, Bangalore and Chinchwad. Global Indian International School Surat was the host and its teachers, the quiz masters.

Grade 6-8 students participated in the quiz based which was based on national days, monuments, cultural and natural heritage built around us and in our country. A total of 4 rounds were conducted, where each round had a different theme i.e. question-answer, general awareness, visual round, and rapid fire round. Atmosphere at all the GIIS Campuses was palpitating with the competitive spirits, as each campus wanted to take the winner’s accolade home.

“It gives the students an opportunity to test their awareness level and understanding of heritage at a competitive level” quoted Ms Sunita Jaisingh, GIIS National Academic Co-ordinator.

There was a lot of learning that happened during the program. The idea was to share correct awareness about our cultural heritage, which was relevantly met for all the participating teams across GIIS India campuses.
