Eid was celebrated at GIIS Noida to enlighten the students about the spirit of festival, symbolizing the unity of an international community. In our multicultural society we need to instill and enforce the universal values of brotherhood, tolerance, peace, compassion, and solidarity in our children. A celebration in the form of special assemblies is an effort to sensitize students towards living in harmony in a diverse society. They are taught to learn to use their thinking ability and skills to work for a safe and better world and to live in harmony with their fellow beings.

To commemorate the occasion of Eid Ul Fitr the students of Pre-primary, and classes I & II started with the celebration with an assembly. Aleena, Ranveer, Manya of class II welcomed the audience and this was followed by a soothing chorus by students of class II. It was a wonderful song which reaffirmed our faith in God. A prayer Kalma was offered to almighty on behalf of all gathered for the occasion by Medina of Class KG D. Students of class I presented a Skit “Sacchi Eid Ki Kahani”.This presentation depicted Eid in its true sense giving a message to imbibe its values in our life. The tiny tots of Kindergarten performed a beautiful dance full of grace and flair. Students from the primary section sang Sufi songs like, "khwaja mere khwaja..."  and made a presentation on celebration of Eid and the values that are inculcated throughout the holy month of Ramadaan. The entire school gathered at the multi-purpose hall to celebrate the spirit of joy and peace. The Pre-primary Coordinator Mrs. Rachna Jain addressed the assembly accentuating the fact that most religions perpetuate similar tenets and wished “Eid Mubarak” to all. Everyone enjoyed being a part of celebration.
