Christmas is a time for celebrations, spreading happiness and enjoying to one’s heart@aps@s content! This was the prelude to the Christmas Carnival at GIIS Noida, an annual bash that the entire GIIS Noida family eagerly awaits to participate in. The school looked most spectacular with coloured streamers and balloons decorated all over the ground, and children and parents flocking from one stall to the other. There was a variety of stalls set up by parents and food vendors. The little ones jumped on bouncies, played in the play zone and proudly showed off the tattoos of their favourite characters painted on the back of their hands. There was much gaiety in the air and music and dance added to the spirit.

Santa spread his magic as he carried his big bag of goodies and walked through the crowd distributing sweets and ringing his bell and often saying aloud his magic words “Ho ho ho”. Children love Santa Claus and were delighted to hover around him.

The treat of the carnival was the activity at stalls set up by students of GIIS Noida. They organized fun games and sold handmade envelopes. The proceeds went towards social causes. The students were sensitized to the needs of the orphans and were humbled by their own entrepreneurial attempt to help their less privileged friends. It is a time of celebration and the best way to do that is by bringing a smile to someone@aps@s face. Learning begins with sharing, caring and recognizing the environment in which we can make a difference. This is the value that children captured through the celebration of Christmas.

The carnival at GIIS Noida was a day to remember.
