Virtual Classroom at GIIS Noida

“Dream the Impossible, Seek the Unknown, ACHIEVE Greatness...”

This is what we believe and teach at Global Indian International School, Noida (GIIS Noida). Every sphere of individual interest and creativity is given equal importance and training. Children are trained professionally in the field of their choice, in which they wish to excel and have a flair for.

Happy are times when our students perform astoundingly well after competing with thousands of students, emerging out as winners. A recent example of which has been at the Shoobh Art competition held at an international level.  Shoobh Group is a non-profit community based organization that works for the welfare of communities, education, health and personal growth, social welfare and self-help for the disadvantaged.

With an aim to share and spread the beauty of Ganga using different art forms, an international art competition was organized by the Shoobh group for various schools all over the world.  More than 1000 schools from 12 countries participated in the Shoobh Art 2016 competition to show the correlation between water and employment. The basic idea was to highlight that water sources can directly or indirectly create a lot of employment opportunities for the youth of various countries.

Three students i.e. Agrima Jain (Grade 3), Vedanshi Singh (Grade 5), and Anatara Srivastava (Grade 7) from GIIS Noida under the guidance of Ms. Shazia Sadar – Art & Craft Teacher, participated in the competition. Padmashree, Anjolie Ela Menon who is one of India's Leading Contemporary Artists was the chief jurist for the Art competition along with few others from the Shoobh group.

We are extremely happy and proud that our student Agrima Jain of Grade 3 after being judged on rubrics like theme, concept clarity, colour scheme, etc. judged as the winner by the esteemed panel of judges for Grade 1-3 category.

Apart from the art competition, dance and photography competitions for students from different schools and countries were also organized to promote the theme.  Art workshops for the underprivileged and Shoobh tours which comprised of spiritual, art and adventurous school tours to The Ganga, were also a part of this international extravaganza.
