Young students get Yoga lessons in Dubai fitness challenge

GIIS Dubai took up the DXB fitness challenge and organized a 30 minute Yoga session for the primary students in November 2018.

The main aim was to raise awareness on fitness and yoga among the students. Warm up exercises were taken and all the students performed sitting and standing asanas, importance of these were explained simultaneously. They were explained that yoga helps in maintaining not only physical and mental health but also a healthy social life. Regular practice of yoga will surely help our students achieve a better life, physically, mentally and spiritually as well.

Zumba session was organised on the subsequent day. Zumba is a popular aerobic fitness program that combines dance and exercise. The students did several different styles during the fitness-inspired dance. Students and staff thoroughly enjoyed the session, everyone had a good time and it made exercise fun.

We encourage all of our students, parents and staff to be involved in different fitness activities and look forward to not only completing the 30-day challenge successfuly but to taking on an oath where we would make excercise a part of everday life.
