GIIS Kindergarten Dubai came up with a new initiative – VETS. It stands for Virtual Educational Tours. Videos related to the theme are made by the teachers and children view them and discuss their experience.

Children enjoy discussing the topic after watching the video which is linked to a real life situation. During the present COVID times children miss the outdoor visits which are so important for learning.

VET videos related to Community helpers, Visit to space, Rotation and Revolution were made keeping this need in mind.

These were a compensation for the Outdoor Tours. Hands on activities related to the same were conducted. After watching a video, age appropriate quizzes were conducted to foster critical thinking among children.

The interesting part of this initiative was that the children watched scenarios of where they live – UAE and learn more about their surroundings.
