Children learn about environment friendly activities at Paperless Day

Kindergarten sections in Dubai observed 'Paperless Day' in September 2018, as part of the learning process, learning about how paper-making activities effect the environment.

As part of the event, children were told about the process of making paper, and how trees are affected as a result. Through age-appropriate learning, they were taught about the importance of saving paper and the effect of wastage on environment.

Children were encouraged to express themselves through drawings and art, making miniature trees using popsicles and dried leaves. They also went to the school garden to water the plants, while also sowing seeds in plastic cups which were kept in the classrooms and will be tended to everyday.

Additionally, they independently made orange juice which helped to improve their fine motor skills and made them realize the uses of fruits.

Overall a wonderful learning experience for the Kindergarten children who enjoyed the activities became aware of environmental hazards.
