Shaping What’s Next for Students’ Future: GALS at GIIS Bannerghatta

At GIIS Bannerghatta, our teaching faculty presented the Global Annual Leadership Summit (GALS), highlighting the school’s focus on continuous improvement and future-ready education. The session brought together teachers to share ideas, insights, and practical approaches aimed at strengthening teaching and overall school practices. Through clear explanations and discussions, it offered a better understanding of how these efforts support student learning and growth.

The presentation covered key themes, each focusing on an important area. SKILL CRAFT: Building Skills for the Future (2035) focused on helping students develop essential life skills such as problem-solving, communication, and practical thinking through structured learning; for example, encouraging students to work on real-life tasks, present their ideas, or solve everyday challenges rather than only focusing on textbook learning.

FORCE: Building Future-Ready Teachers highlighted the importance of having well-trained and up-to-date teachers through better recruitment, regular training, and the use of modern tools such as AI, ensuring that classroom teaching becomes more engaging, personalised, and effective for students.

SPARK: Scholarship and Student Opportunities explained a clear and fair scholarship process, ensuring that deserving students are recognised and supported, giving every child a chance to benefit based on their effort and ability. IMPACT: Transforming Admissions and Counselling focused on improving how the school supports parents and students during admissions, with better organisation, clear communication, and digital tools; for instance, making it easier for parents to understand the process, track progress, and receive timely guidance.

The presentation was aligned with the GIIS 9 GEMS framework, which focuses on the overall development of students, including academic progress, confidence, creativity, values, and global awareness. The initiatives shared showed how the school is working behind the scenes to create a supportive, well-planned, and future-focused learning environment.

Overall, the GALS presentation highlighted how teachers are actively working to strengthen systems and practices, ensuring better learning experiences and outcomes for students.
