At GIIS Kindergarten, the beginning of the new academic year was marked by a vibrant celebration of Color Day, with this year's theme being the bold and beautiful color red. Held during the delightful season of Golden Week, the Red Color Day and Crazy Hat Day proved to be a perfect combination, adding an extra layer of fun and creativity to the festivities at both the SSD and KK campuses.
The corridors of both campuses were transformed into a red wonderurld, beautifully decorated with all things red, creating a joyful and welcoming environment for the students and staff. Children and teachers embraced the spirit of the day, arriving dressed in various shades of red, from scarlet to burgundy, each outfit reflecting their unique styles and personalities.
The day was packed with engaging and educational activities that not only celebrated the color red but also aimed to enhance the children's developmental skills. Among the activities, making ladybugs was a favorite, allowing the children to explore their creativity while learning about nature. Crafting red flower garlands was another highlight, which helped improve their eye-hand coordination as they threaded the bright blossoms together.
Additionally, the children enjoyed making red color face masks and using Red Hen story props, which brought the classic tale to life and added an educational twist to the day's theme. These activities not only entertained but also supported the children's learning and cognitive development through hands-on experience and storytelling.
A special assembly was the crowning event of the day, where the children had the opportunity to showcase and talk about their Crazy Hats. This segment was filled with excitement and pride as the students displayed their uniquely designed hats, each telling a story of creativity and individual expression.
GIIS Kindergarten's Red Color Day and Crazy Hat Day were more than just a celebration of colors; they were a testament to the school's commitment to fostering a creative and nurturing environment that encourages self-expression and learning. As the children left the campuses with smiles and stories to share, it was clear that the day had been a memorable start to the academic year, filled with joy, learning, and community spirit.
