GIIS Tokyo Applauds IBDP Class of 2025 for Academic Excellence

Students of GIIS Tokyo have once again demonstrated outstanding academic achievement in the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) examinations, the results of which were announced on 5th July 2025. With a strong showing of high scorers, the results reflect the school’s dedication to academic excellence and a student-centric, globally focused learning environment.
 

The overall school performance was marked by a school average of 35.4 points, with 50% of students scoring 35 points and above, showcasing the school’s commitment to quality instruction, personal mentoring, and a future-ready curriculum. Core subjects such as Japanese Ab Initio, Japanese B, Economics, Mathematics Analysis and Approaches (AA)  saw particularly strong results, underlining the well-rounded academic preparedness of this year’s graduating cohort.
 

Commending the students on their achievements, Principal Ms. Prerna Mannan shared:
"We are proud of our IBDP class of 2025 for their commendable board results, which are a testament to their resilience and hard work, supported by the unwavering dedication of our teachers, focused academic strategies and the trust and support of our parents. Many congratulations to our students, teachers, parents and the entire GIIS community for this remarkable achievement.”
 

The IBDP faculty, along with the IBDP Coordinator, Mr. Seth Howerton, and academic leadership team, played a crucial role in mentoring students, supporting their extended essays and TOK requirements, and guiding them through university preparation.
 

Our comprehensive Career Counselling and University Guidance Programme has helped students receive offers from a wide range of top universities in Japan and around the world. Through personalised support and early planning, students are well-prepared to make informed academic and career choices.
