IBDP Open House – An interactive session with students and faculty

SINGAPORE, APRIL 20: Global Indian International School recently held an Open House on its comprehensive International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme to inform parents about the diverse learning opportunities available for its IB students.

The Open House at Queenstown Campus was an interactive and engaging session between parents, children and IB teachers, which started with an exciting buzz, with fresh-faced IBDP students interacting with prospective DP students with enthusiasm, capturing the interest of parents and students who trickled in to know more.

There were kiosks for every IB subject with all information laid out for the parents, while teachers were at hand to clarify and advice on every query.  Additionally principal Madhu Khanna and Associate Director of Academics Pramod Tripathi made a series of presentations alongside student council members to explain the programme to prospective students.

The presentations covered the overall summary of various components of the IBDP as well as allowed for parents to ask questions directly to the students about the course, subject combinations and more. Ms Khanna and Mr Tripathi gave a detailed insight into the GIIS IBDP programme as well as highlighted the achievements of IB students, and addressed the queries of the parents.

The presentation by Mr Rohit Ambekar (Director - Business & Strategy, Singapore), also covered the very exciting features of the SMART Campus and the various questions that parents had. Overall it was a very enriching experience for both the students and the parents.
