Students from GIIS SMART Campus secured both the Best Speaker and Second Best Speaker titles at the 10th International Hindi Debate Competition 2026, marking a significant accomplishment at the international level.
Arnav Rai from IB Year 1 was awarded the Best Speaker title for his well-structured arguments, strong command of Hindi, and confident delivery. His presentation was noted for its clarity, originality, and depth of analysis. Jivitesh Gupta, also from IB Year 1, received the Second Best Speaker award, demonstrating sharp reasoning and a balanced perspective on the topic.
The debate centred on the theme, “Social media is a medium of self-obsession rather than expression,” encouraging participants to examine the influence of digital platforms on identity and communication. The competition brought together students from several reputed international schools, including NPS International School, Singapore; The Sanskaar Valley School, Bhopal; and Dr Pillai Global Academy, Mumbai, among others.
In addition to the individual recognitions, GIIS SMART Campus was conferred with the Best School Award in the Senior Category, reflecting its consistent performance in language proficiency and competitive platforms.
The event was adjudicated by Ms Aradhana Jha Srivastava and Ms Gauri Gupta, both known for their contributions to the promotion of Indian language and culture abroad.
The school acknowledges the guidance of Dr Anju Sharma and the Hindi Department, whose mentorship supported the students in refining their arguments and strengthening their presentation skills.
These results underscore the institution’s emphasis on holistic development, linguistic excellence, and participation in international academic forums.
