September: A Month of Exploration, Learning and Togetherness at GIIS Hadapsar

Dear Parents,

Namaste!

September was a month of exploration, learning and meaningful connections at GIIS Hadapsar. From engaging classroom activities and innovative learning experiences to colourful celebrations and value-based initiatives, students across all sections embraced numerous opportunities to discover their potential, express their ideas and develop essential life skills. The month was a wonderful blend of academic pursuits, experiential learning, creativity and togetherness, making it both enriching and memorable for the entire school community.

September provided numerous opportunities for students at GIIS Hadapsar to create, communicate and express themselves. Pre-Primary children stepped into imaginative worlds through the Pretend Play – Supermarket activity, taking on roles such as customers, shopkeepers and cashiers while developing their communication, counting, decision-making and social skills.

The newly inaugurated Pretend Play and Gym Area added another exciting dimension to experiential learning, offering children opportunities for imaginative play, physical activity and exploration.

Upper Primary students explored their creativity through poster-making, drama, storytelling, speaking activities and hobby clubs. From creating hot-air balloon models in the Innovation Garage to participating in My Hobby, My Story and ???? ?? ????, students were encouraged to express their ideas and communicate with confidence.

The Character Dress-Up Activity brought favourite storybook characters to life, while the Poem Recitation Competition provided students with an opportunity to enhance their voice modulation, expression and appreciation of poetry.

The month was equally enriching in terms of academic and experiential learning. Mathematics became more engaging through activities such as Number Patterns and the Factors vs Multiples Battle, which encouraged students to apply mathematical concepts while strengthening their teamwork, logical reasoning and problem-solving skills.

Students also participated in the IGKO and ICSO examinations, extending their learning beyond the regular curriculum and providing them with opportunities to assess their knowledge and understanding.

The Young Authors' Appreciation celebrated the creativity and writing abilities of budding authors, offering them a platform to showcase their work and interact with the Principal. Meanwhile, special assemblies and engaging classroom experiences continued to provide students with opportunities to strengthen their communication, confidence and presentation skills.

September also focused on nurturing the values that shape responsible and compassionate individuals. Through activities centred on kindness, courage, compassion, peace, cleanliness, non-violence and responsible citizenship, students were encouraged to reflect on how their everyday actions can contribute to a better world.

The My Voice for a Better World Speak Up Activity provided students with a platform to express their thoughts through short speeches while developing their public-speaking skills and confidence.

The month beautifully highlighted the importance of relationships, family bonds and togetherness. The Roots to Wings – Grandparents' Day brought grandparents, parents and children together to celebrate love, cherished memories and the special bonds shared across generations.

The KG2 Special Assembly, Building Bonds, reinforced the importance of friendship, cooperation and meaningful relationships through engaging performances and interactive presentations.

Parents were also invited to witness class assemblies, offering them a glimpse into their children's learning journeys, creativity, confidence and active participation in school activities.

The Secondary section began the month with a heartfelt Teachers' Day Celebration, expressing gratitude and appreciation for the dedication and contributions of teachers. A traditional Dhol Tasha welcome, a special assembly, dance performances, soulful songs, talent showcases, team-building activities and a carnival made the celebration a memorable occasion filled with joy and togetherness.

While September was filled with engaging activities and celebrations, students also remained committed to their academic pursuits. Assessments and Term 1 examinations were conducted across sections, marking a transition from experiential learning and celebrations to focused revision and exam preparation. These assessments provided students with an opportunity to reflect on their learning, assess their progress and identify areas for further improvement.

September was a month of meaningful experiences that extended learning beyond textbooks and classrooms. Through creativity, collaboration, academic engagement, value-based activities and celebrations, students continued to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for their holistic growth. As we look ahead to another exciting month, GIIS Hadapsar remains committed to providing enriching opportunities that inspire curiosity, nurture individual potential and empower every learner to grow, achieve and make a positive difference.

Warm Regards,
