GIIS SMART Campus, Punggol Singapore played host to the twelfth edition of the Real World Challenges Convention (RWCC) held on December 6th and 7th, 2023. The RWCC is a distinctive platform designed to encourage students to delve into real-world issues, conduct research on their chosen topics, devise solutions, and effectively present the process on an international stage.
Under the theme HOPE 2030 – Heralding Opportunity Possibility Equality for a Greener Safer Happier World, the convention's core mission was to bring together schools from Singapore and across Asia to collaborate on peace, prosperity, and sustainability aiming to promote good health, physical fitness, skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship among participants through sports events. This year's RWCC saw active participation of over 800 students, parents, and academic leaders. Participating schools included GIIS campuses from Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ahmedabad, Balewadi, Whitefield, Bannerghatta, East Coast, Hadapsar, Kuala Lumpur, Noida, SMART Campus, Tokyo, and GSF schools like OWIS, Vikaasa, Glendale, Witty, CIS Manila, and DIS Manila.
In a notable achievement for GIIS Hadapsar, students Ananya Bhuyan, Ishika Dabade, and Ruchira Pachpute secured the second runner-up position in the AdzApp competition (category: secondary). This particular competition challenged students to create creative advertisements on a given topic, showcasing the innovative and artistic talents of GIIS Hadapsar students.
Participating in an event like RWCC provides students with valuable exposure, fostering a sense of excitement and anticipation for future events. GIIS Hadapsar stands proud as a testament to the school's commitment to nurturing the holistic development of its students through platforms that celebrate creativity, innovation, and problem-solving.
