The Investiture Ceremony of GIIS, Hadapsar for the session 2023-24 on April 27, 2023, was a gala ceremony. It’s a platform every school provides to its elected council members while entrusting them to fulfill their responsibilities 

The investiture ceremony was conducted after completion of a week-long selection process of the aspiring leaders. Potential student leaders were nominated for the position of head boy, head girl, and sports captain. The nominated members then introduced themselves to the audience to contest their candidacy. Each candidate in their own creative ways, with the help of placards, wristbands, and banners, showcased their creativity and willingness to stand for the responsibilities.

Students enjoyed casting their choices by using a ballot box for voting. The activity instilled an emotion of team spirit as they were motivated to choose the right candidate who would lead them better. After counting the votes, the chosen names of the head boy and head girl, along with the school sports captain were announced in the assembly.

The special assembly was set up in the MPH where the school choir sang ‘Hall of Fame’ and welcomed the dignitaries and parents to the ceremony. GIIS Hadapsar Principal, Ms. Lakshmi Prasanna enriched the audience with her words of wisdom to encourage the newly elected leaders of the student council. Mr. Vishwas Dagale, Police Inspector, Crime Branch, Hadapsar, was cordially invited to the investiture ceremony as the chief guest. He enlightened us with his words- “There is a leader in all of us; we just do not realize it. It, at times, becomes necessary for one to show how good and skilled we are at our tasks. It's then when people know if you possess the ability to take the lead.” Ms. Vaishali Borde, Academic Head GMP and Co – scholastic segment India was also present as a Guest of Honour to motivate our promising leaders with her kind words and best wishes.

It was a proud moment for the parents to see their wards being honored with badges and sashes. The oath-taking ceremony was a memory to be remembered for a long time. It was indeed a proud moment for all the parents and teachers to see their children all grown up and ready to lead the world with their talents, skills, and knowledge,
