October: A Month of Learning, Creativity and Achievement at GIIS Hadapsar

Dear Parents,

Namaste!

“Education is not merely about acquiring knowledge; it is about nurturing curiosity, inspiring action and empowering young minds to shape a better tomorrow.”

October 2026 was a month of meaningful learning, creative exploration and collective achievements at GIIS Hadapsar. Across GMP, Lower Primary, Upper Primary and Secondary School, our learners participated in enriching experiences that encouraged curiosity, critical thinking, self-expression and social responsibility. From hands-on activities and literary engagements to sustainability initiatives, cultural celebrations and academic assessments, every experience contributed to their holistic development.

Our GMP learners explored their creativity through Art and Craft Special Week, celebrated Gandhi Jayanti, Navratri and Dussehra, and participated in engaging activities that strengthened foundational skills and confidence. The My Learning Checkpoints initiative further reinforced the partnership between parents and teachers, offering insights into children's learning journeys.

In Lower Primary, the month celebrated the power of expression and experiential learning. The Young Poets recitation competition provided a platform for budding literary talent, while special assemblies on Gandhi Jayanti, Health and Hygiene, and Technology reinforced important values and responsible habits. The Little Chef Club, featuring Peanut Laddoo-Making and Back to Grandma's Kitchen, introduced learners to culinary traditions through sensory exploration. The Term 1 Learning Checkpoint, creative competitions and House Felicitation Ceremony further encouraged independent thinking, participation and a spirit of achievement.

Our Upper Primary learners translated ideas into meaningful action through sustainability initiatives such as Cool Naturally and Think Green. Hobby Club activities offered opportunities to explore innovation, languages, mathematics, culinary arts and performing arts. A key highlight was the Young Orators – Elocution Competition on the theme Small Actions, Big Change, where students demonstrated confidence, communication skills and the ability to express ideas with purpose. The LogIQids Zonal Assessment also encouraged analytical thinking and problem-solving across segments.

In Secondary School, academic rigour was complemented by cultural enrichment and collaborative engagement. The Term 1 examinations provided an opportunity for students to assess their progress, while Dandiya Night brought the school community together in a vibrant celebration of Indian culture. The Parent–Teacher Meeting strengthened home–school collaboration and featured Grade 8 mathematics project displays, scholastic book stalls and information on the Cambridge English Qualification Programme.

A special highlight across the campus was Jhilmil– A Carnival of Lights, bringing together students and families through performances, creative showcases, festive food stalls, games and interactive activities. The celebration reflected the spirit of creativity, cultural appreciation and community bonding.

As we reflect on October, we take pride not only in our learners' accomplishments but also in the curiosity, confidence and values they continue to develop. At GIIS Hadapsar, we remain committed to nurturing compassionate, capable and future-ready global citizens who are inspired to explore, empowered to lead and equipped to make a positive difference.

Together, let us continue to celebrate every achievement, encourage every aspiration and create endless possibilities for our children.

Warm Regards,

Dr Vijay Parihar
