Dear Parents,
Namaste!
With the commencement of the new academic year, our school campus came alive with renewed energy, enthusiasm, and the joyful spirit of learning. June was a month of inspiration, innovation, and meaningful engagement, offering students across all sections a rich tapestry of experiences that nurtured their intellectual, emotional, social, and creative growth.
I am delighted to share that Ms. Lijisri Satishkumar of GIIS Hadapsar has been honoured with the prestigious SOF Best District Teacher Award for the SOF National Science Olympiad for the academic year 2025–26. This remarkable achievement is a testament to her dedication, excellence, and unwavering commitment to nurturing young minds. On behalf of the entire GIIS Hadapsar family, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to her and wish her continued success in all her future endeavours.
GMP our youngest learners embarked on an exciting journey of discovery and exploration. Through the observance of World Environment Day, Water Conservation Activities, and World Ocean Day, children developed an early understanding of environmental stewardship and sustainable living. The much-anticipated Innovation Week ignited curiosity through engaging activities such as Human Letter Formation, Nature Painting, Giant Floor Graphs, and Shadow Detective, fostering creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. The month was further enriched with the vibrant Blue Colour Day Celebration, interactive Thinking Thursday Sessions, exciting Math Magic Activities, and meaningful conversations at the Conversation Station, strengthening communication skills and social-emotional learning.
The Lower Primary section witnessed a month filled with creativity, environmental awareness, and joyful learning. The Summer Writing Festival showcased the remarkable imagination of our budding authors, who wrote and illustrated their own books. Their literary creations earned a special place in the Young Authors’ Corner in the school library, inspiring a lifelong love for reading and writing.
A memorable highlight of the month was the heartwarming Father’s Day Celebration, where fathers and children bonded through engaging activities, games, and challenges that celebrated the invaluable role of fathers in shaping young lives. The month concluded with diligent preparations for Assessment 1, reflecting students’ commitment to academic excellence.
June was a dynamic month of creativity, leadership, and experiential learning for the Upper Primary section. The month began with a spirited Eco Song and Jingle Activity on World Environment Day, where students composed and performed original songs advocating environmental conservation and sustainable living.
The ICare Activity – Leaking Taps and Water Pledge encouraged students to adopt responsible water-saving habits, while the Vision Board Activity inspired them to set meaningful goals and dream ambitiously about their future.
Father’s Day celebrations provided students with an opportunity to express gratitude through heartfelt cards and reflective creative writing. The intellectually stimulating Math Magic Activity challenged learners to apply logical reasoning and problem-solving skills through engaging number puzzles.
The month concluded on a spectacular note with the World Music Day Intra-House Singing Competition. Centred around the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), students delivered inspiring performances that highlighted this theme.
The Secondary section experienced an enriching month filled with innovation, critical thinking, and character development. In celebration of World Environment Day, students engaged in a variety of transformative activities, including the Sustainable City Challenge, environmental debates, Shark Tank: Green Innovations, and the Green Ad-Mad Challenge. These initiatives empowered students to explore real-world environmental issues while developing creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
A meaningful Circle Time Session on Respect and Responsibility encouraged students to reflect on ethical decision-making, empathy, and positive citizenship, reinforcing the values that strengthen our school community.
Father’s Day celebrations provided opportunities for students to express appreciation through speeches, presentations, interviews, and creative projects that honored the guidance and support of father figures in their lives.
The Music Talent Hunt showcased the artistic excellence, confidence, and passion of our young performers through heartfelt musical tributes.
Two significant activities brought together students across various grades, fostering a sense of unity, responsibility, and well-being.
The entire school enthusiastically observed International Yoga Day, where students participated in yoga postures, breathing exercises, and mindfulness activities. The celebration emphasised the importance of physical fitness, mental well-being, self-discipline, and a balanced lifestyle.
Students across grades also actively participated in the “Seeds of Change” Initiative as part of the World Environment Day celebrations. By collecting dried mango seeds and contributing them to a partnering NGO for planting, students demonstrated their commitment to environmental conservation and community service. The initiative instilled the values of sustainability, responsibility, and collective action towards creating a greener future.
June has been a remarkable beginning to the academic year—one that celebrated environmental consciousness, innovation, creativity, wellness, gratitude, and lifelong learning. Across every section, students demonstrated resilience, curiosity, leadership, and a commitment to excellence.
As we move forward, we remain dedicated to creating transformative learning experiences that inspire every learner to discover their potential, embrace challenges, and contribute meaningfully to the world around them.
“Success is not just measured by academic achievement, but by the values we nurture, the creativity we inspire, and the positive impact we create.”
With great anticipation and optimism, we look forward to many more months of growth, achievement, exploration, and unforgettable memories throughout the academic year.
Warm Regards,
Dr. Vijay Parihar
