Students of Global Indian International School (GIIS), Hadapsar, had an enriching international learning experience in Singapore, where they showcased their creativity, innovation and teamwork. The visit offered a valuable opportunity to learn beyond the classroom, interact with students from different backgrounds and gain exposure to new ideas and cultures.
As part of the event, the students presented two innovative projects, Climate Guardians and Mindful Tech Guardians. Both projects reflected their research, creativity and understanding of important issues relevant to today's world. Their ideas and presentations received appreciation and encouraging feedback from the audience.
Adding to the school's achievements, Yana Gupta of Grade 11 received the Best Presenter Award for GED and MCOP for her confident and impactful presentation. The GIIS Hadapsar team also secured the Third Position in the competition, making the experience even more special for the students and their mentors.
Beyond the competition, the students explored Singapore's vibrant culture and popular attractions. They visited Sentosa Island and enjoyed the scenic views from the Singapore Cable Car, which offered a breathtaking aerial perspective of the harbour and the surrounding landscape. The visit to Merlion Park and other places of interest gave them a glimpse of Singapore's unique blend of culture, architecture, nature and modern development.
The trip also provided opportunities for students to strengthen their bonds, work together and share experiences outside the classroom. From presenting their projects and interacting with participants from different backgrounds to exploring new places and enjoying time together, every part of the journey contributed to their learning and personal growth.
The international visit was a memorable combination of academic achievement, innovation, cultural exposure and exploration. The recognition received for their projects, Yana's Best Presenter Award and the team's Third Position reflected the students' efforts and dedication.
The students returned home with a sense of accomplishment, greater confidence, fresh perspectives and cherished memories. The experience also highlighted the value of international learning opportunities in encouraging young learners to think creatively, collaborate with others and develop a broader understanding of the world.
