The GMP section of GIIS Hadapsar, successfully organised a Phonics Workshop for parents to strengthen their involvement in their children's early literacy journey. The workshop aimed to help parents understand the importance of phonics in developing foundational reading and writing skills while equipping them with practical strategies to support learning at home.

During the interactive sessiaon, parents were introduced to the school's phonics programme through engaging demonstrations, hands-on activities, and fun-filled games. The workshop highlighted how children learn to identify letter sounds, blend sounds to form words, build phonemic awareness, and recognise sight words—essential skills that lay the foundation for confident reading and effective communication.

The facilitators also shared simple and practical techniques that parents can easily incorporate into everyday routines to reinforce classroom learning. Parents enthusiastically participated in the activities, making the session lively, interactive, and highly successful.

The workshop further strengthened the partnership between the school and parents by boosting their confidence in supporting their children's language development at home.
