The GMP section of GIIS Hadapsar recently conducted a meaningful and engaging Bird Feeder i-Care activity for kindergarten students, helping them understand the importance of kindness, sharing, and caring for nature.

The activity was specially designed to teach young learners that birds, just like humans, need food and care. By creating bird feeders, children developed a sense of compassion towards birds and animals while learning the values of responsibility and empathy.

Under the guidance of their teachers, the students enthusiastically participated in the hands-on activity by making their own bird feeders using white disposable glasses. They painted the glasses in bright colours such as red, yellow, orange, and more, showcasing their creativity and excitement. After the paint dried, they used colourful pipe cleaners to tie and hang the feeders, making them ready for birds to sit, eat, and enjoy.

The children were delighted throughout the process. They smiled while painting, enjoyed decorating the feeders, and were excited to add seeds for the birds. Watching their bird feeders come to life filled them with pride and happiness.

The Bird Feeder activity not only encouraged children to care for nature but also helped improve their creativity, fine motor skills, and hand coordination. Most importantly, it taught them the joy of helping others and sharing with all living beings.

Seeing birds eat from the feeders created a special connection between the children and nature, making the experience both memorable and meaningful. Through this thoughtful i-Care initiative, GIIS Hadapsar continues to nurture young minds with values of kindness, compassion, and environmental awareness.
