Global Indian International School (GIIS), Hadapsar, organised the KG2C Parental Assembly on the theme “Building Bonds Together”, highlighting the importance of friendship, kindness, cooperation, respect and togetherness. The assembly provided a platform for young learners to express themselves, showcase their talents and share meaningful life lessons with their parents.

The programme began with a warm welcome to the parents, followed by an address by the Principal. The school prayer and pledge set a positive tone for the morning, encouraging a sense of gratitude, unity and belonging among the gathering.

The highlight of the assembly was a skit titled “The Rainbow That Needed Everyone.” Through the colourful characters of a rainbow, the children presented a heartwarming story about accepting differences and appreciating one another. As the colours argued over who was the most important, they eventually realised that a rainbow could not be complete without all seven colours. With the guidance of the Sun, they learnt that every colour was unique and that their combined presence created something beautiful.

The skit conveyed the message that every individual has something valuable to contribute to a friendship, family and community. It encouraged children to understand the importance of acceptance, cooperation and mutual support in building strong relationships.

Taking the theme forward, the young speakers shared simple ways to strengthen bonds, such as sharing, helping, caring, listening, respecting and supporting one another. Their messages highlighted how small acts of kindness can make a positive difference in people's lives.

The assembly also featured a lively dance performance by the children, adding energy and joy to the occasion. Their enthusiastic participation and confident expressions made the programme engaging and memorable for the audience.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the support of parents, teachers and the school leadership. The presence of parents added significance to the occasion, strengthening the partnership between home and school.

The KG2C Parental Assembly was a meaningful learning experience that encouraged children to embrace diversity, practise empathy and appreciate each other's uniqueness. Through engaging performances and simple yet powerful messages, the assembly reinforced the importance of building positive relationships from an early age and growing together with kindness and understanding.
