February: A Month of Academic Excellence and Experiential Learning at GIIS Hadapsar

Dear Parents,

Namaste!

At GIIS Hadapsar the month of February unfolded as a vibrant tapestry of academic rigour, experiential learning, and joyful celebrations across all segments of the school. Guided by the belief that “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world,” the campus resonated with enthusiasm, perseverance, and purposeful engagement.

In the GMP segment, Montessori Week was celebrated with immersive, hands-on experiences that nurtured practical life skills, sensorial discovery, language enrichment, and foundational numeracy. Each thoughtfully curated activity strengthened independence, refined motor coordination, and instilled quiet confidence in our young learners. The My Learning Checkpoint (MLC), conducted in a warm and stress-free environment, provided meaningful insights into every child’s progress, ensuring holistic and child-centric development. Rainbow Day added a burst of colour and creativity, as children expressed themselves through art, music, storytelling, and vibrant participation—truly reflecting the joy of early learning.

The Lower Primary segment embraced the spirit of “Little Learners, Big Moments.” Students demonstrated conceptual clarity and growing independence through Assessment 7, marking steady academic progress. An interactive orientation session for new Grade 1 and 2 admissions fostered strong parent-school partnerships through meaningful dialogue and personalised guidance. The Learning Checkpoint, an innovative and activity-based assessment model, empowered students to showcase their understanding independently while parents observed and contributed constructive feedback, reinforcing transparency and collaboration in the learning journey.

For Grades 3–5, February was a dynamic blend of experiential exploration and academic focus. Grade 3 students embarked on an enlightening educational visit to the Monginis Cake Factory, gaining firsthand exposure to hygiene protocols, precision, teamwork, and real-world production processes—transforming theoretical knowledge into tangible understanding. The month also witnessed rigorous revision sessions and strategic preparation for the Final Examinations. The Term 2 Examination, conducted from 16th to 27th February, reflected the students’ discipline, resilience, and commitment to excellence.

The Secondary Section demonstrated exemplary focus and determination. Grade 9 Annual Examinations were conducted from 9th to 20th February, while Grades 6–8 undertook their Annual Examinations from 16th to 27th February 2026, reflecting perseverance and academic integrity. Amidst this scholarly dedication, Grade 10 students geared up with unwavering resolve and strategic preparation for their forthcoming Board Examinations, embodying the spirit that “Success is where preparation and opportunity meet.”

From the enthusiastic young learners of Grades 1–2 to the poised and confident leaders of the Secondary Section, the entire school community was wholeheartedly immersed in the electrifying preparations for the much-awaited Annual Day celebration. The campus resonated with rhythmic footwork, expressive dialogues, synchronized formations, and melodious harmonies as students across all grades rehearsed with unwavering passion, remarkable precision, and immense pride. Costumes were meticulously designed, scripts thoughtfully refined, choreography flawlessly perfected, and teamwork strengthened at every step—transforming each rehearsal into a dynamic showcase of commitment, creativity, collaboration, and collective excellence.

February 2026 thus stood as a compelling testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence—where curiosity was ignited, resilience was strengthened, talents were celebrated, and every learner advanced with confidence, competence, and purpose.

Warm Regards,
