August unfolded as a month of joyful celebrations, experiential learning, creativity, leadership and purposeful action across the school. Through thoughtfully planned activities and events, our students explored new ideas, expressed themselves with confidence, developed important life skills and discovered the joy of making a positive difference.

For the GMP section, the month was a beautiful journey of peace, kindness, gratitude, patriotism and compassion. Hiroshima Peace Day introduced children to the importance of peace and harmony through a colourful dove collage, helping them understand that peace begins with kind words and caring actions. During Good Manners Week, stories, puppet shows and hands-on activities encouraged children to practise sharing, respect, gratitude and kindness. The handmade Gratitude Fridge Magnet became a special reminder to carry these values home.

The spirit of patriotism came alive through the Independence Day Assembly, where children celebrated India through songs, dances and presentations. The highlight of the month was “Raksha Bandhan – From Little Entrepreneurs to Little Givers.” Our young entrepreneurs lovingly created an incredible 480 handmade Rakhis, which were exhibited and sold to parents and students from the higher grades. Beyond learning creativity, teamwork, communication and responsibility, the children experienced the true joy of giving as the proceeds were contributed towards meal donations. Adding a cultural dimension, KG 2B presented “Loom to Legacy,” taking children on a fascinating journey from fibres and looms to traditional Indian fabrics and textiles.

Talking about the Lower Primary section, a visit to a nearby cattle farm brought the Animals theme to life, allowing students to observe animals closely and develop empathy and appreciation for the world around them. Through Mission Green, students discovered how small, conscious actions can contribute towards protecting our planet, while the activity-based Assessment 2, which commenced on 17 August, encouraged them to demonstrate their learning creatively and confidently.

The month was further enriched by special assemblies on Independence Day and Guru Purnima, inspiring values of patriotism, gratitude and respect. The Global School Exchange (GSE) provided opportunities to connect with students from different campuses and share ideas and experiences. The Green Commute Challenge encouraged children to think about greener choices in their daily journeys. The spirit of compassion and patriotism shone brightly through “Rakhi for Our Soldiers,” where Pre-Primary children created handmade Rakhis and Grades 1–3 supported the initiative by purchasing them for our brave soldiers. The month concluded with the Speak Up Competition, giving students a platform to express their thoughts with confidence and creativity.

For the Upper Primary students, the month witnessed experiential learning, creativity, innovation and self-expression. Through “Know Your School – Exploring the Heart of Our School,” students discovered the spaces and facilities that make their school community special and documented their observations in handmade journals. On Peace Day, “Roots of Peace” transformed the school into a canvas of compassion through Peace Trees and Peace Stones carrying messages of kindness, empathy, gratitude and unity.

Environmental awareness took centre stage through the I Care Activity – “Every Breath Matters,” where students created impactful posters highlighting clean air and the importance of responsible environmental choices. Their patriotic spirit found expression through the Independence Day Patriotic Speech Competition, while the “Recycled Product Factory,” aligned with SDG 9, encouraged students to transform waste into creative and useful products, strengthening sustainable thinking and problem-solving skills. World Photography Day – “One Photo, Many Stories” inspired students to look beyond the frame and create narratives from photographs, enhancing observation and creative writing. The introduction of the Hobby Club Journal opened a pathway for students to explore their interests and passions, while “Math Magic – Multiplication Flower” blended art and mathematics in a fun and engaging way.

When it comes to the Secondary Section, the month was an action-packed one showcasing leadership, patriotism, creativity, reflection and sportsmanship. The month began with the Student Council Elections, giving students an opportunity to participate in the democratic process and embrace leadership and responsibility. Circle Time sessions explored peace, emotional well-being and personal responsibility through “The Peace Circle” and “Peace Starts with Me,” while the Nature Conservation Challenge encouraged students to become responsible stewards of the environment.

Creativity took centre stage at the Inter-House Dance Competition, where students from Grades 6–12 brought the theme “Literature and Poetry in Motion” alive through captivating choreography. The month concluded with the National Sports Day Assembly, inspiring students to embrace fitness, sportsmanship and the spirit of athletic excellence.

Across every segment, August reflected our commitment to learning with purpose. Our students created, explored, communicated, collaborated, led and contributed. From making a dove for peace and creating handmade Rakhis to discovering Indian textiles, transforming waste into useful products, caring for the environment, exercising democratic choice and celebrating the nation through music, dance and sport, every experience became an opportunity for growth.
