Dear Parents,
Namaste!
The new academic session commenced with enthusiasm, warmth and a spirit of active learning across all sections of the school. The month of April was filled with cheerful beginnings, enriching experiences and meaningful celebrations that laid a strong foundation for the year ahead.
The Pre-Primary wing welcomed its little learners into a nurturing and joyful environment where stories, music, games and interactive classroom activities helped them settle in comfortably. During the opening week, a thoughtfully planned Safety Week introduced children to important safety habits through role-play, demonstrations and an educational field trip to the Amanora Fire Station. Book-based engagements and Earth Day activities further encouraged early reading habits and environmental awareness.
In the Lower Primary section, bright classrooms and engaging orientation sessions created a smooth and happy transition into the new academic year. A warm Parent-Teacher interaction strengthened the bond between school and home, while the launch of the After School Programme provided children with opportunities to explore sports and teamwork. The special Earth Day assembly held on 21st April 2026 added to the students’ sense of responsibility and positivity.
Upper Primary students experienced a vibrant month of creativity, awareness and skill-building through a series of engaging events. The month began with Siblings Day, when students created heartfelt “My Sibling, My Hero” cards to celebrate the special bond they share with their siblings. On 13th April, students took part in an I-Care Activity and made eco-friendly seed bombs, learning the importance of planting and caring for nature.
Students observed World Heritage Day through a House Competition titled “Live Museum – Then vs Now,” where they presented role-plays showcasing historical changes and cultural heritage. Continuing the focus on environmental responsibility, Earth Day was celebrated with the making of Eco Habits Charts and creative 4R’s booklets to spread awareness about sustainable living. During the Literary Week, the students participated in Character Dress-Up Day, Minimalist Cover Design, Storytelling sessions, Dancing Puppet Activity and the Spell Bee Competition, making language learning lively and enjoyable.
The Secondary segment also began the year on a purposeful note. Students participated in a Quality Circle House Activity focused on transforming classrooms into more effective learning spaces, promoting critical thinking and teamwork. This was followed by a multilingual poem and story writing competition on 17th April 2026, giving students a platform for literary expression in English, Hindi and Marathi.
Reading and literary appreciation continued with a special World Book Day assembly presented by Grade 9, where students dressed as famous literary characters delivered expressive monologues. Students also attended an Online Career Guidance session on Careers in Psychology and Mental Well-being conducted by Dr. Gayatri Kotbagi from FLAMES University. The same day also witnessed Earth Day House Activities across grades, where students participated in best-out-of-waste creations, climate awareness campaigns, slogan writing, pledges and green classroom initiatives.
An important academic milestone of the month was the successful conduct of the Cambridge CEQP Final Examination. The month concluded on a creative and enthusiastic note with Literary Week celebrations, featuring creative writing, storytelling, bookmark and poster making and an engaging literary quiz.
Overall, April proved to be a month of smooth transitions, joyful participation and holistic learning. With equal emphasis on safety, creativity, values, academics, environmental consciousness and future readiness, the school stepped confidently into another promising academic year.
Warm Regards,
